Coffee Shops You Need To Visit in Queen Anne
As Seattle locals, we all have our favorite coffee shops. We’re also very loyal and, arguably, obsessed with them. Most of our favorite shops tend to be within walking or driving distance. My favorites are all within walking distance and in my neighborhood. So, if you’re north of downtown Seattle, here are the Coffee Shops You Need to Visit in Queen Anne!
Coffee Shops You Need To Visit in Queen Anne
From hipster snobby orders to high-quality fair-trade drip, all of these shops are unique… which is right up my alley. Even if you’re taking your drink to-go or staying for a few hours to read, they’re all friendly, down-to-earth, and make you feel right at home.
Okay! Grab your reusable coffee cup! Here are my personal faves…
Caffé Fioré
I would be lying if I said: I didn’t frequent Caffe Fioré (on Galer) over all the other shops on this list. It’s owned by Caffe Vita, which has a number of other locations around the Seattle area (one being Vita at KEXP cafe/radio station).
This coffee is my favorite and I love that they have a points system. 12 cups, one free – plus they’ll take .25 off if you bring your own cup! My go-to is an Americano with a splash of oat milk but I love their made-in-house chai. Unique drinks are below!
- Campfire Mocha
- Golden Milk
- Cortado
- Harvest Moon Milk (Seasonal – Fall)
If you’re looking to buy in bulk, they sell their iced lattes by batch (made with oat milk). They have tons of seating inside but I love their outdoor area as it’s perfect for people-watching, or reading your book.
Queen Anne Coffee
Queen Anne Coffee shop is relatively new to Queen Anne but right next to our beloved Queen Anne Bookstore, so it quickly became a local favorite. Grab your coffee and head to the bookshop. Rinse, lather, repeat!
I haven’t been here are often as I would like, but their coffee is good. Standard drip is about $2 for a 12oz and you can pretty much order anything. They do have vegan options and a terrific outdoor space, which is hidden in the back!
I got their Queen Anne Turkey Sandwich one time and it was 💣! Turkey, lettuce, tomato & mayo on a house-made challah-pretzel roll. YUM!
Caffe Ladro
Okay, a history lesson: Caffe Ladro (the coffee thief) started in Queen Anne! Its first shop opened in 1994 and it’s been growing ever since. They have multiple locations including one at the bottom of QA hill but, the one on top of the hill is the original!
These guys are busy in the mornings but it’s always worth grabbing a cup. I love shops that start out small, are loved by locals and can grow on their own. They also make their own pastries.
Popular coffees:
- Yankee Dog (Americano w/ a dash of cinnamon)
- Caffe Medici (fancy)
- Breve
- Frozen Mocha or Latte
Coffeemind
This coffee shop is super hidden away on the west side of QA. Still very popular, and a favorite to our west siders, Coffeemind is the perfect place to grab a pick-me-up cup on your afternoon walk.
These guys are well known for their artisan Turkish coffee drinks (more specifically Istanbul). They serve standard American drinks as well, along with an assortment of loose leaf tea.
Cafe Hagan
This coffee shop is considered lower Queen Anne and is located on the east side. Cafe Hagan is a nod to, you guessed it! – Copenhagen!
It’s very well known for its Cortado and its pour-over (aka drip). I love these guys because they’re also a bakery. They’re so good, there’s almost always a line out the door in the mornings.
They also have unique seasonal drinks, like:
- Orange Creme Brulee
- Maple Burbon Latte
- Black Currant Shaken Espresso
- Kobenhavn (classic Scandinavian)
If you’re traveling/vacationing through Seattle, hope you’re having a great time! Definitely stop into Queen Anne for the coffee shop, we’d love to see you!
Happy Adventuring!
