2018 Seattle Fashion Week & that Jumpsuit (again)

The weekend before this last was a special little treat. I got brunch with the girls, sat on a patio, drank white wine, went to a Cinco de Mayo gathering and then got the privilege to attend this year’s Seattle Fashion Week Show at the Seattle Art Museum…

I went alone.
As strange as this is going to sound, I had an amazing time! I wasn’t texting a bunch of friends or nor was there any awkwardness about the experience of going to an event alone. I felt, surprisingly,  comfortable and relaxed, once I got there. I spoke with a few others that had media credentials. However, I neglected to give them my handle or any additional information on myself. I’m such a newb sometimes. On the upside, it was a terrific adventure. I learned what to do in the future in regards to networking. Oh meet and greets, will you ever get easier?
As you can see above, Seattle Magazine asked to take my picture for their IG stories. I was SO honored and excited that I responded with “Of course!”. I posed as naturally as I could. He thanked me, I thanked him and I walked away! Remember when I was talking about being a newbie at this?
The show set up was gorgeous and I love how they had the stage set in the foyer of the museum. The beautiful new wooden sculpture above the stage was breathtakingly whimsical with a nice edge to the Latin inspired show. Music pumping through the speakers that shook the pillars and made everyone want to get up and dance. It was well received from the audience.
My make up was more dramatic than usual because I let my outfit hold style and not high fashion. I used my Anastasia Beverly Hill Modern Romance Palette, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, Clinique Lash Fattening Mascara and, of course, my YSL Lip Stain #7. Swoooon. It’s the best rose nude I have! I also used Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder duo and a Tarte blush in Paaarty. Which I found appropriate.
As for my outfit, what a surprise! My Mahina black jumpsuit for the win, again. I love it and it’s clearly versatile! My kimono is a Rack find and I don’t know if I’ll be able to find the exact one, as it was sold out the last time I checked, but I know I can find similar ones. My outfit dets are below!
Jumpsuit – Mahina Boutique Haleiwa, HI (similar, similar, similar) // Kimono – Wild Pearl
(similar, similar, similar) // Belt – Vintage // Green Leather Bag – Zara (similar) //
Pink Sandals – Nine West // Gold Earrings – Heirloom
What makes inspires you? What sparks a light in your imagination?
