10 Things I’ve Been Reaching for on Repeat This Summer
I love a good favorites list and this one is random and quirky and I don’t care. These are not sponsored but I will add affiliate links, if you’d like to support the blog at all. These are not things I’ve purchased or been using for aesthetics, and they’re definitely not things I bought because they were trending. These are just the things I have been genuinely reaching for over and over again all summer.
Let’s get into it!
1. Old Navy Boyfriend Jeans
I know, I know. I said I was done with jeans. And yet here we are. These have been carrying me through what has been a very disappointingly chilly PNW summer and they’re my exception to my jeans rule. I think because they’re so baggy and practically falling off my hips. They’re 100% all comfort and I feel good in them. I own these in Light Wash but am seriously contemptating getting them in Dark Wash for Autumn.
2. Diamond Cleaner Pen
This little pen is an absolute miracle worker. I first heard about this from one of my best friends and now I can’t go anywhere without it. I wash my hands a lot and sometimes I forget to take the ring off when I’m gardening, doing dishes, even hopping in the shower for a quick wash. Needless to say, my engagement ring has already seen and been through a lot. Every week, I grab this pen and give it a scrub. I highly recommend it. It makes the diamond sparkle like new and for some reason that always give me an immediate mood boost? Weird but it makes me happy when it’s shiny.
3. My Two Pairs of Summer Sandals
I have been alternating between my Nisolo Huarache Sandals all season. They not only go with, genuinely, everything I own but they are my vibe through and through. I cannot overstate how a quality sandal can carry you through a whole spring/summer wardrobe. They so comfortable but what I love most is they’re not only women led but they use Leather Working Group Certified leather and they’re all handwoven. I own these in Bone and Brandy. I love love love love them!
4. Silicone Cupcake Tin
This might be the most random item on this list but hear me out. I’ve been using this to make homemade protein peanut butter cups and they pop out so perfectly that I can’t believe I didn’t buy one sooner. Zero mess, zero fuss. If you make any kind of freezer treat at home, this silicone cupcake tin with reinforced metal is great.
5. My New Yoga Mat
Ad got me a Manduka PROlite Yoga Mat after I graduated from YTT and I love the color so much. It’s inspired me to practice more at home which says a LOT. Do you know how hard home practice is for someone with ADHD? It’s also inspired me to pick up my sewing machine to make a carrying case for it, so stay tuned for that Monthly Make some times in the future! 😄
6. Gifted Dutch Oven from My Mom
My Dutch oven has seen its fair share of life and it keeps going strong. It has been such a great tool in my kitchen that I keep coming back to it over and over. More recently it’s been a wealth of joy to cook my sourdough in. I genuinely hate the orange color but I will say, it turns fire red at 500 degrees which is a very useful and a terrifying reminder to never touch it. A great Dutch oven is forever but I’d be lying if I were to say I wouldn’t mind replacing it with this beautiful Müeller Dutch Oven or a Dutch Oven Pot.
7. Garden Snippers
I bought these Gardening Scissors specifically for harvesting lettuce and we have used them so many times since. Now they’re also getting daily use on the sugar snap peas and strawberries. Genuinely one of the best small garden purchases I’ve made this year.
8. Folkessence Incense for Ad
This one started as something I picked up for Ad because it makes him so happy and reminds him of home. Now it’s become a daily ritual in our house. These Folkessence Incense came in a pack of 6 and each stick burns for up to 40–45 minutes. We recently discovered that any kind of smoke keeps spiders away, so he’s been lighting one almost every day. Functional and beautiful. A win all around. My favorite is Whispers of Bloom and his favorite is Whispers of Woods.
9. Car Insurance Organizer
Another one that’s random but I got this little organizer for my glove compartment that houses my registration and insurance card. If I ever get pulled over I know exactly where everything is. No panicking, no digging, no losing things in the chaos of a glove compartment. It’s pretty cheap but these come in some cute design. Each one has a penholder too, just in case you need one. It’s not much but, man-o-man is it helpful.
10. Extra Large Wall Calendar with Stickers
This cutie wall calendar is keeping us on track for fitness, walking, and general life organization. I love that they came with stickers. There’s something so satisfying about putting one on a day where you actually did what we needed to do. It’s also keeping track of when people are coming over, doctor’s appts, and friend dates. It’s been a real joy to have especially with the habit tracker at the bottom.
That’s my list, friends! Completely random but honest, and every single one has genuinely improved my summer in some small way. Let me know in the comments what you’ve been reaching for on repeat lately. I love knowing what’s working for other people right now!
xoxo
