Home for Christmas: A Solo Traveler’s Cozy Family Retreat

Happy Christmas Day, my darling friends! Despite flying home just before the festivities began, and frantically buying (and making) a few gifts, my poor SIL got covid. So, my family had to pivot for the second year and postpone Christmas. Last year I was exposed and spent the holiday alone. This year, at least, I have my parents close by. For the first time, since my 1st Christmas ever, we’ll spend the day together. It’s a sweet thought, honestly.

Unfortunately, we’re all missing my nephew’s 1st Christmas this year. Which, super breaks my heart. I think we were all looking forward to celebrating the day with him and watching his facial expressions, etc.

That said, we’re all healthy (for the most part), happy, and alive/well this Holiday season. Thus, we really have no reason to be upset or unhinged about it. Haha.

Anyway, I’m wishing you all a very Happy Christmas Day. I hope your day is filled with happiness, warmth, giggles, and festive joy. I also hope you get every book, airline gift card, and travel accessories on your list this year.

Kiss kiss & happy adventures!
