Dark Florals 90s Dress

Hello, my darling loves. This post is one for the books. I can’t begin to tell you amount of compliments I received when I wore this beautiful dark florals 90s dress.

To start: This is childhood Alli’s dream outfit of the 90s! For the 19th million time, my style icon growing up was Blossom, Topanga and Tia & Tamara. I was a 90s trend girl all the way. So when I saw this dress at the thrift store, and the tag was apart of 1/2 price color day,… I DIED.

If you don’t follow me on IG you probably should, I share my OOTD almost every single morning before work. I’m obsessed with the dark florals trend. Let’s just say that I’ve always been a flower power child but the Fall trend has really intensified the situation.

Dark Florals 90s Dress

This gorgeous dark florals 90s dress is everything I’ve been looking for. To trend spec: it’s long, silky, hip hugging, sustainable but with a light vintage vibe. Add a pair of Marc Fisher booties, and oversized bag, cardigan and a hat and, well, that’s all you need to walk down the streets of Seattle with confidence!

I often think that one of the biggest mistakes people do when, thrifting for the first time, is expecting to find exactly what you’re looking for at the thrift store. That’s not always the case. I’ve seen dozens of dresses (just like this one) that were the wrong size, needed work done, with hole, the wrong color or just didn’t match my personality. I assure you, the right dress is worth the patience and I think that’s what makes thrift shopping so fun for me. Each piece is a bit more memorable than just walking through a department store.

What trend pieces have you been searching for this year?

Thanks for reading, mon amies! xo – Alli
