My Summer Bucket List and I Cannot Wait

Summer is on the way and I could cry. This means we’ve made it! We survived Winter through Spring and now we’re rewarded with my favorite season of the whole year! And what better way to celebrate than a Summer bucket list?

I cannot even contain myself. The days are extra long and the sun sets around 9:04 pm right now. It’s nice and bright, even late. Many of my friends are not fans of the late evenings, but I cannot get enough of it. I love seeing the sun up at 5:15 and hearing the birds already chirping. It’s like they’re waiting for the rest of us to wake so we can start the day. 💕

One thing on the top of my bucket list is to rework my morning routine. I fell off the bandwagon, once again. Winter and Spring are just tough for my summer-loving self. It’s all the rain and grey mornings… but sunshine? Rainbow skies? Fresh, sweet summer air? Yes, please! I want a lovely warm cup of earl grey in a beautiful mug shaped like a flower while I walk through and inspect the garden. I want to start summer days quietly reflecting and to organize my thoughts in peace with my journal.

There is so much to plan for this year! I’m just so excited.

Another checkbox is camping. We’re not planning to do a lot of it because we’re already down a few months and haven’t scheduled the date yet but it’s going to be amazing to check that off the list. You also won’t be surprised to see paddle boarding. I have an old post on places to paddle board in Washington State, if you’re in the area. Lastly, I am desperate to roast up s’mores in front of a fire pit and maybe grill up some of our homegrown veggies.

Alright, onto the list!
