Books & Bottles Series (#16)
Happy Memorial Day, you guys! Also, welcome to May’s Books & Bottles Series (#16). This weekend has gone by too quickly… in fact, this month has – but I’m really excited to share my book. I’ve been loving reading recently. For a while, I was struggling to pick up any book because nothing was captivating. This one was an easy read and I ended up getting through it in 3 days.

Books & Bottles Series (#16)
I have a huge TBR list for over the summer and got great cottagecore book recommendations, including some classics I’ve been meaning to read. I hope the weather turns around and gets sunny soon. My favorite activity in the summer is reading at the park. Fingers crossed!
Book: Sweet Love by Lauren Accardo (Forever Adirondacks #2)
This is the second book in the “Adirondacks Series”. I listened to the first book last year and did review it in my Books & Bottles series. You can read about the first book here. I was really excited to grab this book but it wasn’t available at the library so, instead, I was able to snag it at a bookshop. I read it… and immediately ran out to grab the final book in the series. I’m so excited.
Short Summary (from the back of the book):
Mila Bailey has always had a special talent for creating unique, show-stopping pies. But until her great-aunt leaves her the entry fee to the Pine Ridge Spring Bake-Off, she’s only ever shared them with friends and family. Thrust into the spotlight, Mila is determined to prove to everyone—but mostly herself—that she has what it takes to compete with top-level bakers. There’s only one flaw in her plan: The not-so-half-baked feelings she’s starting to develop for her best friend, Jared Kirkland.
Jared has always believed in Mila’s gifts, but lately he’s struggling not to fantasize about sampling more than just the spoon from the batter. No matter how much he tries to tell himself that Mila is not for him—his dreams have always reached beyond Pine Ridge—he can’t deny this new spark between them.
Mila embodies Pine Ridge, and Jared wants to break free. How can either of them move on knowing the loves of their lives have been right under their noses all along?
Honest Review: 4 Stars
If you couldn’t tell by me saying “II bought #3″… I really adored this book. In fact, I read it in about 2 days? I just kept reading and realized something I didn’t know about myself – I love friends to lovers tropes! I think they’re so sweet. There’s something about how two people love, support, and trust one another. Then suddenly their feelings change and… swoon!
It makes me so happy and really this one didn’t disappoint in the slightest. I can’t wait to read the next one but I have a huge stack of books I’m going to have to get through before even thinking about it.

The Bottle: Ryan Patrick 2020 Rosé 🍷
This bottle is a wonderful blend of 50% Sangiovese, 19% Syrah, 16% Grenache, 12% Mourvedre, 3% Cinsault. I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle and really shows how Washington State is just killin’ the rosé game.
What I’m tasting:
Lovely light peaches and sweet apricot. It’s the perfect level of acidity. I would love to drink this with some soft-served ice cream and a little salty sliced meat board.
The tasting notes say lemon & grapefruit. I don’t know, you guysssss. I don’t get that. Haha!
What I’m smelling:
This smells like summer. Like, bottled liquid floral sunshine. Oh! I cannot wait to grab another chilled bottle and drink this on a patio somewhere!
Overall Grade: A
This is a solid A for me, you guys! I can’t even believe it. I picked this up at the IGA in Ocean Shores to drink while writing this for you and I’m thrilled about it.
In short, if you’re looking for an easy summer rosé… this is IT my loves. 💕
Can’t wait to hear if any of you have read this series. What’s on your reading list for June?!
