10 of the Best Washington State Rosés this year
Happy National Rosé, darlings! I couldn’t help but share 10 of the Best Washington State Rosés this Year. You guys know I’m always trying to support local, especially when it comes to my wine. After my last trip out to Walla Walla (posts here), I learned so much more about Washington’s wine production. I’m offically obsessed with becoming an expert.
My favorite rosé, that I’ve had this summer, is the last one. Make sure to check that one out or click here to jump to it!
10 of the Best Washington State Rosés this year
This year has been so much fun tasting different types of wine. I think this Summer will be filled to the brim with rosé at the park or on a patio.
Picture it: A hot summer day, surrounded by friends and family, chilled glass in hand. How is that not everyone’s dream?
Let’s go!
One // Airfield’s 2020 Sangiovese Rosé
This should come as no surprise, as I mentioned this wine in my last Books & Bottles post. An easy and tropical rosé that’s pleasant when chilled . I always have a bottle in my cabinet.
Two // Charles & Charles Syrah/Shiraz Rosé
One of my very good friends bought me this wine in April. It’s her favorite rosé and one I continue to pick up for any last minute get togethers. Honestly, everyone will like it and it’s a fun bright color.
Three // Matthews 2019 Cab Franc Rosé
A simple but beautiful bottle and label design. This rosé is a packed with a citrus fruity taste and a little spice.
Four // Mark Ryan 2020 Lu & Oly Flowerhead Rosé
Mark Ryan is such a cult classic winery in Seattle. I have many friends who utterly adore them and are also wine club members. If that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will! This rosé tastes of peach and apricot to me.
Five // Seven Hills 2019 Dry Rosé
I love Seven Hills winery so much! Majority cab frac and petit verdot and malbec in this rosé. It’s the perfect wine for a backyard barbecue. All will love it. From Moms and Aunties, to crazy Uncle Bobs. This is a total grab and go. The 2018 rosé is a favorite of mine and you’re lucky to have it as it’s sold out!
Six // Fortuity 2020 Rose of Cinsault
Oh this rosé! Such a lovely pale pink color and rightfully given the appropriate rating of 90 pts. This rosé is so delightful that it’s completely sold out online. However, I know La Pasta at the top of Queen Anne Hill has a few bottles left. Full of juicy sweet grapefruit and smells of melon. If you find it, grab it!
Seven // Arbor Crest 2019 Columbia Valley Rosé
I discovered this winery, in Spokane, while visiting my family. Every.Single.One.Of.Them. LOVED this rosé. We ordered a bottle for the table and I took two bottles to-go. Thoroughly delightful with hints of watermelon and luscious strawberries.
Eight // Cascadian Outfitters Sparkling Canned Rosé
Yep – you read that right. CANNED. As in from an aluminum tin. This rosé is my favorite wine to-go. It’s great to pack for camping and to bring along on all of my paddle boarding adventures. This says a lot because I don’t normally like bubbles but this one? YUM. Super zesty and full of strawberry and raspberry flavors.
Nine // Columbia Valley 2019 Rosé
I brought this rosé on an electric boat with 4 other girlfriends and it was a total hit! So much so that 2 of the ladies took pictures of the label to pick it up at the store on the way home. Haha! Light and a little sweet. Pairs wonderfully with a soft cheese plate or bruschetta.
Ten // Kinhaven Winery 2020 Estate Rosé
My favorite rosé of 2021 is Kinhaven’s Estate Rosé. I bought two bottles from this boutique winery in Walla Walla and my friend bought one. We’re kicking ourselves for not buying a whole case because it’s so perfect for a hot summer day. It’s a real treat and you will NOT regret. Gorgeous rose petals and strawberries.
Hope you enjoyed this spontaneous post! You guys know I love traveling out to different wineries whenever I can and when I get the chance to support and promote local – I will! I’d LOVE to know you’re favorite rosés that you’re always grabbing. Washington State or not, please share!
