Basic Witch Style with Fringe & Velvet

Hello my darling friends, from your favorite basic witch! Haha. Listen, I’m not the kind of girl to order a PSL but I am the type to go low-key Practical Magic on you (my love continues). This outfit is more transitional still but I absolutely love my little artist cardigan. I’m calling this: basic witch style.

If you’re following me on instagram, you’re going to recognize this outfit. Thank you for participating in my little survey! I definitely checked the results after I got on the bus. So, I didn’t actually wear the hat to work BUT when I got home, I grabbed it for photos. (Thank you, to my sister for always offering to take my pictures!)

Alright, lets get into it! You all can’t tell me that there isn’t a little bit of magic to this basic witch style. This fringe… this fringe sold me on this cardigan in a second. It’s something very unique. Not something you see everyday! Plus, it’s all mine. Unfortunately, with the said, it’s sold out but I’ll find some others for you and list them below.

Let’s talk about styling for a hot second. As you guys know, I’m a neutrals girl, not normally all basic witch style. Haha! I loveeeee my whites, beiges, browns… warm tones. Autumn is normally pretty warm in my closet but once it gets cooler, for some reason, it slips into blacks and greys. (Like this outfit from last week)

I still love my warm tones though so when I go for black shoes and pants, I tend to lighten them with a brown hat and reddish browns in a cardigan or shirt. Still warm, despite the edgy blacks.

I’m probably headed to Portland, as we speak! I know I mentioned I’d be gone for “best friend weekend”. For those of you guessing, I hope you guessed Portland! I do plan to instagram while I’m there so make sure to check that out to see some of my favorite things to do in my home city!
