About Me

My name is Allison but you can call me Alli! I started journaling when I was 6 years old. I had a Sanrio Keroppi diary with a lock on it that I adored. Once I filled up the pages, I couldn’t stop. I discovered blogging when I was 16, learned basic HTML, kept learning and growing, and inevitably got to where I am today with a career in Marketing.

After 4 blogs, and countless paper journals, I discovered my love for sharing my Travel adventures. On the Trip Side really stuck and has become my favorite way of expressing myself.

A lot of my finesse comes from my grandmother, who was a world traveler, lover of languages, and haggler extraordinaire. I’m lucky to carry her spirit and wisdom everywhere I go. I strongly believe that we have the people in our life for a reason. I grew up with strong independent women all around me. I was taught not to hold anything back, and I don’t intend to. 😉
