What’s in My Winter Toiletry Bag

I’ve been excited to write this post for a while because, to be frank, I’ve become a pro at packing since my boyfriend and I are all over the state all of the time. We’ve upped our domestic travel and occasionally international (hello, Vancouver BC) so much that my toiletry bag is always ready to go.

I’ve partnered with ShopMy (affiliate partner!) on this post today, and you can find my entire Winter Toiletry Bag Collection here! Okay, no more dilly-dallying on this one, let’s hop in!

What’s in My Winter Toiletry Bag

My homemade soap!
My face is so privileged these days, and I only use the best on it. I can’t travel without it, or my face just feels gross using any other cleaner. For those wondering, these aren’t for sale, but someday I might put them up, and I’ll make sure to link them for you. 🥰

Rose water
This has become my toner! The best part is I smell SO incredible afterward using it. You can pick this up at your closest international store, and you’ll be supporting local! This one is a great second, if you’re more prone to shop at Ulta.

Vitamin E
This sounds crazy, but it has been so wonderful for my hands, elbows, knees, my boyfriend’s heels, and even a light layer on my face. It’s helped so much with severely dry winter skin and nasty scratches.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm
I can’t leave home without it. I have one in my car, handbag, toiletry bag, travel backpack, and hiking bag. It’s the only balm that actually works, and I will die on this hill over it.

Mascara
I can’t leave home without it. I use E.l.f. Lash Xtndr in soft black, and it’s wonderful. Never hurts my eyes and is made with clean products.

Eyeliner
I love Essence’s dark chocolate brown eyeliner. Easy and travel-friendly.

Blush
I use Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer blush in Provence. It comes in a tube. I simply dab on my fingers, then on my cheeks and nose, and I’m done.

Zoya Nail Polish
When I travel, I often go out for a nice meal and want my nails to look pretty. I’m not a snob about a lot of things, but I am a bit about Zoya. I love their nail lacquers, especially their pink selection. This one is called Mia!

Perfume
I cannot leave home without travel perfume. I’m in love with Jo Malone’s Nectarine Blossom & Honey. It’s so perfect for my everyday vibe, especially in Spring and Summer. Right now, I’m also going through a sample of Atelier Versace’s Eclat de Rose, and I’m in awe of how lovely and perfect it is for Autumn and Winter. It’s a very mature romantic scent.

Deodorant
I gave all-natural deodorant the ol’ college try, and it does not work on me. I either broke out into a rash, or it didn’t cover my scent at all. This is my one bad vice, friends: Secret Clinical Strength in Stress Response.

Alaway Eye Itch Relief
As mentioned, I have the worst dry skin. I know it would help to take fewer hot showers and drink more water, but for the days I need a little help, I use Alaway. I will not travel without this. It’s saved me so many headaches and dry-eyed days.

Wooden Hair Brush
I swear, wooden hair brushes are better for my hair. I picked this one up at a Native American Holiday Market this past December. It’s hand-painted by an artist, and it’s so darling, but these wooden hair brushes are perfectly lovely and from Etsy!

Extra hair ties
I need at least two.

Shower cap
This sounds like something you’d hear from your mom, but I’m no different. I wash my hair maybe two to three times a week. It’s a need.

Personalized Travel Jewelry Box
My beautiful mama bought this beautiful travel jewelry box as a holiday gift last year. She saw my Cozy Traveler’s Gift Guide blog post and bought the prettiest one. I am IN LOVE with this box. She also had it personalized with a rose for my birth month (June!). I will cherish this for years to come! 🌹

Right now, in my box, I carry a few essential pieces:

Personalized Toiletry Bag
My sister gave me this bag when she asked me to be her bridesmaid. It’s very sentimental, and it has a note on the inside from her that I just adore. It was custom-made with her Cricut Maker. I adore it.

What’s not shown:

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion
Something else I don’t leave home without in the winter. This stuff is so great for my extra dry skin. I love taking extra hot showers (I know, I know, that’s bad for you, but it feels so good!).

Small claw clips
These are great for hopping in the shower or while doing my hair.

Vitamins
I never leave home without them.

Travel toothbrush and toothpaste
I have used Aquafresh for 20 years, and it’s never let me down. I also use the toothbrush my dentist gives me after every visit, and I just put it in a plastic bag.

That’s it, friends. Updated and ready to take on winter in full force. What’s in your toiletry bag that you can’t leave home without in the winter? And where are you traveling to next?!
