My Cozy Holiday Gift Guide for Homebodies

Though I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a homebody, I would say my life looks very different than it did just two years ago, when I quit my job to travel around the world for eight months. That adventure taught me so much – how little you really need, how easy it is to pick up your life and move anywhere, and how deeply you can savor new experiences. But you know what else it taught me? How sweet it is to come back home.

Since returning to Seattle (my home for the past 13 years, by the way), I’ve learned to truly settle in. Some may say I put down roots, and honestly, I love it. When I’m home, it’s the little things that make me ridiculously happy: a handmade mug I picked up at a tiny market while traveling, a wooden hair clip I found in Germany, the softest throw I’ve wrapped myself in while reading by the window… the list goes on.

This guide is my ode to those tiny joys. It’s for anyone who loves slow mornings, cozy corners, and thoughtful little things that make being at home feel extra magical. Here are My Cozy Holiday Gift Guide for Homebodies.

I hope you find something you love, whether it’s for yourself, your best friend, or the homebody in your life.

Cozy Clothes

I’m absolutely loving getting back into knitting. I knit my little niece the most darling bear beanie. Knitting is the perfect at-home activity after a long day of blogging or working. I also love a cozy travel crew neck and, of course, any thrifted cashmere sweater. As you know, I love using ThredUp to fill the gaps in my thrifting adventures. I can’t recommend them enough as a wonderful secondhand option for gifts.

Warm Drinks & Slow Mornings

There are a number of mugs in my collection that I’m getting rid of to replace with ones that are a bit more special to me. I love nothing more than handmade or painted mugs from local artists wherever I may be. These two, from Etsy, caught my eye. They’re unique and in no way tied to a holiday – just winter! Perfect for December through March.

Books & Bookish Things

Arguably my favorite things to shop for. My tastes in books have changed a bit over the years, but bookish merch never gets old. I keep all my favorite books and bookish treasures on my recommendation page.

Not-So-Homebody Adventures

Last but not least, you know I’m a Travel and Lifestyle blogger. Even for homebodies, gifting a mini adventure is a win. Viator has amazing tours in Banff, New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle (home!), Denver, and so many more around the world. I always use them and can’t recommend them enough.

Perfect for anyone determined to explore beyond their cozy corners. 💕

Wishing you a fantastic, healthy, and happy winter season, wherever home is to you!
