What’s on My Nightstand: Cozy Essentials, Books, and Little Luxuries
Hello my loves, it feels so good to be back here with you. If you’ve noticed a bit of quiet on the blog lately, it’s because life had me tangled up in a job that left very little space for creativity. But sometimes those pauses give us exactly what we need: a chance to reevaluate, reset, and rediscover what truly matters. Things have shifted for me in the most beautiful way, and I feel lighter, happier, and so ready to pour myself back into this space. There’s so much I want to share, the cozy, the whimsical, the adventures near and far, and I can’t wait to take you along.
What’s on My Nightstand
With that said, let’s dive right in. What’s on my nightstand? Well, I thought you’d never ask 😉. Because of the quirky angles in my bedroom, my “nightstand” is actually half of my dresser. I’m a big believer in using what you have instead of buying something new. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade, but for now, this little setup feels just right.

Little Luxuries & Trinkets
- Amethyst coaster with gold rim
- Vintage apple mug
- Favorite morning and evening tea
- Assorted gold rings
I bought the amethyst coaster years ago at Anthropologie on a particularly rough day at work, and it’s been a small joy ever since. Sadly, it’s no longer made, but I found a few similar ones here and here
The vintage apple mug is part of a thrifted set I snagged last year. I only found two, but they make me smile during the autumn months. You can sometimes find them on eBay here, and I also spotted a charming new option here.
My mug is almost always filled with tea, even if I tend to forget to actually drink it half the time. I used to start my mornings with Earl Grey, but since going caffeine-free in January I’ve switched to the loveliest Earl Grey Rooibos from David’s Tea — it tastes so close to the real thing I can hardly tell the difference (similar one if you don’t love loose leaf). n the evenings, I’ve branched out beyond my usual Yogi’s stress pack and have been loving David’s Tea Mother’s Little Helper with valerian root to help me sleep (similar here if you want a calming nightcap).
As for my gold rings, they’re vintage heirlooms from my mom and grandma. I treasure them so much. While I can’t link the exact ones, I did find some lovely, dainty options for you here, here, and here.
Healing & Restful Energy
Crystals have always fascinated me, especially those tied to grounding and sleep. Here’s a beautiful starter pack, but if you’d rather pick individually, I recommend:
- Selenite for cleansing
- Rose Quartz for self-love and romance
- Red Jasper for protection, grounding, and balance
Books & Journals
At the moment, my nightstand holds two books and a journal. I like having my current read, a “next up” option, and my journal nearby for those days when I need to process or celebrate life on paper.
- Book club read: The Secret, Book & Scone Society by Ellery Adams
- Backup book: The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
- Romance book: Not Safe For Work by Nisha J. Tuli (almost done with it!)
- Journal: Papier – my favorite journal for both the hard days and the joyful ones. Similar here and here.
Lighting & Ambience
My lamp is a trusty old Ikea piece that’s been with me for years. I’ve only ever replaced the bulb once, despite using it nightly. Here’s a similar one if you’re curious.
I also keep a reading light that rests around your neck. It’s perfect for power outages, cozy evenings, or camping trips. No clips, no fuss, just hands-free light. You can find it here.
Thank you, friends, for joining me while I ease back into blogging. I’m so excited to be here again, and I have a stack of travel posts lined up that I can’t wait to share with you. Until then, I’ll be right here, cozying up with my books and crystals, and dreaming up more adventures to bring your way.
