The Best Viator Tours I’ve Been On

Hey there, fellow adventurers! If you’ve been following my newsletter, you know I’ve got another adventure lined up. I’m pumped for what’s ahead! Meeting a friend in one country, then flying solo for three weeks – let’s do this!

When I travel solo, I’m all about those tours. It’s not just about sightseeing; it’s about connecting with fellow travelers and soaking up knowledge about the places I visit. That’s why I’m sharing The Best Viator Tours I’ve Been On.

The Best Viator Tours I’ve Been On

Viator has been my go-to since my first overseas adventure. My mom and I booked a couple of tours in Italy and London that blew us away. I’ve been hooked ever since, especially with their credit-back system for future tours. I’ll be using my credits on a tour next week!

Cliffs of Moher Tour

Talk about breathtaking! Despite being packed with fellow adventurers, this tour was surprisingly chill. I even made a friend who’s still in my circle today! Watching the sunrise over the Irish countryside was magical, and each stop along the way allowed ample time for exploring, souvenir shopping, and grabbing a bite. The guided tour in Galway was the cherry on top.

Edinburgh Darkside Walking Tour

Like a crazy person (or not!), I took this tour on Halloween night! Edinburgh with it’s most haunted city in the UK reputation, didn’t disappoint and neither did this tour! Walking through a cemetery in the dead of night? Spooky – but incredibly informative! I may or may not have said a few extra prayers on my way out… just in case!

Savannah Bike Tour

This might have been my favorite Viator tour. Yes, even over the ones abroad! I loved getting a full history lesson and exercise out of this adventure. Learning about Savannah’s past and its ties to the shipping industry was fascinating. The guide gave us recs on where to eat and he recommended reading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, since the house was on the tour!

Charleston Hidden Alleyways and Historic Sites Walking Tour

Another gem of a history tour, this time in Charleston. Our guide was a character, and his insider knowledge made the tour feel like a stroll with a local celebrity. From earthquake-proofing to the city’s colorful past and city center, I was hooked. I really enjoyed my little solo trip there.

Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica Guided Tour

Sharing this experience with my mom was priceless. Our guide was a Roma aficionado with a passion for art that was contagious. The intimate group size made for a personalized and informative tour that we’ll never forget. We loved how walkable and fun the guide made it. We felt like we made a friend. Definitely check out this tour if you’re going to Rome!

Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath with Pub Lunch in Lacock

This was the first tour my mom and I ever took and it was a blast! Not only did we have an amazing time exploring Windor Castle but each stopped left just enough time for grab snacks, coffee, and suveniors. When you’re hopping from place to place, it’s important to appreciate those little things. Mom got the fish and chips everywhere we went, including at the pub lunch in Lacock!

While there are plenty more tours under my belt, these ones hold a special place in my wanderlust heart. Can’t wait to add a few more to the list on my next adventure! I’d love to know if you’ve taken a tour in the comments below!
