The Best Apple Recipes for Fall
Last week I shared my Lessons Learned from Apple Picking and this week, I just can’t help myself. I have to share my favorites and The Best Apple Recipes For Fall. These are great recipes to make after your apple picking haul.
Literally, from green apples to golden delicious, I’ve got you covered on this one! 🍎
If you’re looking for a fun Fall day trip, I can’t recommend apple picking enough. It’s a great little trip, especially if you’re coming from a major city. It’s also kid-friendly and some of the best Fall activities you’ll be able to find out doors.
Okay – let’s talk about Apple Recipes and then get into this list!
The Best Apple Recipes for Fall
Everyone has super popular recipes that their family loves. Some new, some old. My mom has made the same apple recipe since we were kids and it’s my favorite. She has a unique crumb top that she adds on top of it. It’s packed with butter and I swear the only way to eat it is with a side of Tillamook’s vanilla bean ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. (My nemesis as a now dairy-intolerant adult)
I absolutely love it when people share recipes from their families. We have cousins who live in Paris. They’re my second cousins, once removed(?), and they’re wonderful with completely different traditions than ours. One of them makes the most incredible French Apple tart and she was floored that I’d never heard of it or had one. It’s now my goal in life to perfect her recipe and make it every Fall.
I’m dying to know that your favorite Apple Recipes are and where you got them from. Please share them in the comments! I’m here for the recipe sharing!
P.S. These are absolutely no order what-so-ever
Ina’s Easiest French Apple Tart
As french as it gets! My cousin uses a frozen puff pastry that she bought at the supermarché. Ina cuts hers up for individual tartlettes. My cousin makes hers as one big tart to cut like pizza!

Fall Harvest Honeycrisp Apple and Kale Salad
This might be a next level salad but I assure you – it’s worth it. Everything about it looks, smells and feels like Autumn. I’m hungry just thinking about it.

Apple Cheddar and Bacon Panini
Listennnn, hahaha. I cannot tell you how freakin’ good this sandwiches. It’s a cult classic if you’ve grown up with it. Slice those apple nice and thin, stack them on cheddar and voila! Perfection. If you’re vegan or dairy-free, it’s not 100% the same but I’ve used Daiya’s Cheddar as a sub for this one.

Apple Butter
I don’t know if you can get any more Midwestern American than Apple Butter. It’s a staple for me in the Fall, especially in the mornings on a toasted fresh baguette (from the bakery up the street). I cannot imagine a Fall morning without it, and my cup of tea. I get mine at the Country Cousin in Centralia, WA but would love to make my own someday.

Oat Topping Apple Crisp
Not just Apple Crisp but Apple Crisp with oats! I don’t know why it’s so much better with oats. Maybe it seems more healthy but I swear it adds an element of flavor that’s savory and wonderful.

Slow Cooker Homemade Apple Cider
Using two types of apples, your crock pot, and a whole lot of love – this recipe is for any cabin trip. Think about being outdoors all day and coming into the smell of hot apple cider. Just waiting for you to serve it out! Ughhh, I love a slower cooker recipe, don’t you?

Apple Hand Pies
I love all things mini. I also love desserts that are individualized so I can keep track of how many I give out and how many I keep for myself. These Apple Hand Pies from Sally’s Baking Addition is Americana in true form. Just add a red checker shirt or table cloth and you’re ready. These are also fantastic for the kiddos. They’ll eat em’ right up.

Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake
You know I couldn’t resist adding a coffee cake recipe. I love Hip Foodie Mom’s because she suggests alternatives for milk products. For this recipe, I’ve subbed a lot of the ingredients and it still tastes as it should: like a delicious coffee cake. I generally sub goat yogurt and Earth Balance butter spread.

Sausage Apple & Veggie Sheet Pan Dinner
Likeeeee… this is bomb. It’s also insanely easy to get all of your ingredients at the farmers market, come Autumn. It’s so good. You can also take this recipe of the go. It’e simple to travel and make this dish anywhere. Yum yum yum!

Apples & Peanut Butter
I’m not even embarrassed to add this to my list. This is my go to snack all year. I love and live for sliced apples with peanut butter to dip them into. I’ll add honey or cinnamon to the top to mix it up throughout the year. It’s so good.
Harvest Apple Ginger Spritz
For those who don’t love ginger, I would probably sub out lemon or cinnamon for this one. Very easy and you can use the leftover apple cider from above!

Salted Carmel Apple Slab Pie
Enough said, right? Like … come on. Imagine this coming out of your oven on a chilly Fall evening! Trust me, you won’t need a lot. It’s salty and sweet all in one!
