3 Day Wine Tasting Itinerary for Walla Walla, Washington
The facts are there: I will never ever get tired of wine tasting. I love learning about wine! The science. The fermentation process… literally the creation of rosé alone blows my mind. My goal is always to recap my travels for you guys and help you plan out your trips on your own. However, after re-reading through my last post, I realized Washington Wine Country is an overload of wineries and it might actually be helpful to provide a full blown 3 Day Wine Tasting Itinerary for Walla Walla, Washington.
Really though, my friends. How can you choose between the 120 different wineries? Even with the list I provided in part one of Everything You Need To Know About Wine Tasting in Walla Walla, Washington. It’s just not enough.
So here’s the deal…
3 Day Wine Tasting Itinerary for Walla Walla, Washington
I’ve gone ahead and built out a full 3 Day Wine Tasting Itinerary of Walla Walla, Washington. The itinerary is non-mandatory. There is no obligation to follow step-by-step. It’s much more of a guideline to help you build your own or, simply, follow along. Feel free to mix around the days, tastings, lunch times, etc. Whatever suits you and your travel companion is the way to go.
My favorite thing about this itinerary: It’s packed with all of my favorite vineyards or they house one or up to three of my favorite wine bottles. It’s also insanely easy.
What you can expect in this Itinerary:
Handpicked and uniquely chosen wineries
Each winery is selling some of their bottles at local Washington State stores, like Metropolitan Market or Whole Foods. However, there are some boutique vineyards on this itinerary that only sell their bottles at their Walla Walla vineyard location. Majority of these wineries also have a club that you can join with very limited reserves or specialty bottles. In short, you cannot get anywhere else. Limited edition, baby! 💁♀️
What I love about each vineyard is they’re all one-of-a-kind ascetically and no wine menu is the same. Each grape come from a different field so no wine is the same either.
Exclusive Tastings
Some tasting rooms have a classic or standard tasting. Some give you the option to also do a reserve or exclusive tasting. Personally, depending on the winery, I will splurge for the more elite option. I know I might regret if I don’t.
Pro-tip: If you do go for the classic tasting at any of these location but, see a wine you absolutely need to try. Be kind and ask your pourer about it. Then, kindly ask for a small tastings. I did this and ended up taking home the bottle as a gift. Both me and the server were shocked.
Broken-out and flexible timeline
Each tasting as a push of about an hour and a half on each location. It’s also allotted time for meals, snacks and time to change for dinner reservations.
Meal, Coffee and Dinner Suggestions
Yes! I’ve also included meal suggestions I’d never leave you guys hanging like that! These places have all been vented out by either myself or a close friend. Again, completely interchangeable. My one recommendation is to book a reservation way in advance because there aren’t a ton of places to go out for dinner in Walla Walla.
