Empowered Women & the Perfect Blazer
Hello my lovely friends. Hope you’re all well, and that you had a terrific weekend. I got so much accomplished. I’m super proud of myself! I didn’t waste my whole weekend. It was filled with early mornings, closet clean outs (thanks, Marie Kondo), a hair appt and bootcamp.
Previously I mentioned that I’m in a non-profit organization. I’ve been a member for the past 6 years and I’ve been in a leadership position for the past 5 years. Next year will be my 7th year and it’s my last active year within the Junior League of Seattle and it’s a little bitter sweet. It’s been a wild ride for me. I’ve learned so much about non-profits, leadership, volunteering and about women empowerment. Which is how today’s outfit comes to play.
This is the second time this tee has been on my blog! The last time was back in June of last year and was worn with my favorite black leather jacket. This time, I wore this tee to one of our league’s training events. So I decided to go business casual with a heel.
Our league is open to anyone that identifies themselves as a woman and it encourages us to be more active, volunteer and grow within the Seattle community. In this organization I’ve not only learned to volunteer but have had the wonderful opportunity to do so in other organizations within Seattle. This has included the YMCA, Harborview Medical Center, the Ryther Center, Orion Center, and many more.
Talk about women empowerment, right?
I love this tee for the wise words but it’s also super easy to pair with jeans, skirts, trousers and even a sweater dress. I’ve worn it with pumps, boots and everything in between. It’s a steal of a deal on Amazon. Yes, you read that right (you know I never buy on Amazon) but it was a terrific find and I couldn’t pass it up.
