Perfect Holiday Red Lipsticks
As a lot of you know or have read through my instagram, I’m trying to write a blog post every single day until Christmas. I started on the 12th and have been doing really well! It’s been a super fun goal and it’s making think out side my normal creative process. However, tonight was tough. I stayed up really late the night before last finishing up my Holiday Gift Guide for Him. I didn’t even think about what I was going to write until 10:30pm last night!
The photo above is what gave me the idea. I absolutely love pops of red in winter. Especially around snow. So, here are a few of my favorite reds for you to enjoy.
Fun fact: All of the lipsticks are not only vegan but cruelty-free! These reds are specially chosen because I know each of these products and trust the companies behind them. Many of you know my love for Tarte and the Anastasia Beverly Hills lipsticks. I wear one, or the other, every day.
One // Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Ruby. More commonly known in beauty culture as ABH. This brand is normally known for brows but, holy cow, do they do an amazing matte lipstick. This color screams Christmas to me.
Two // Tarte Color Splash Lipstick in Miami Vice. This lipstick is from their Rainforest of the Sea Collection and I’m very fond of. I own quite of few of these lipsticks. They are creamy, highly pigmented and long lasting. This is the first lipstick I’ve ever owned that was formulated with antioxidants in it. It’s also the only lipstick I’ve ever gotten half way through a tube before. It also never chapped my lips either! If anything, it’s softened them.
Three // Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Ruby. Another long lasting lipstick but in a liquid form! It’s applied with a velvet tip and goes on more like a cream. This lipstick is a beautiful color but a different red than the ABH’s Ruby. I think this is a more traditional American girl red.
Four // Space. nk. apothecary Ilia Color Block Lipstick in Grenadine (#7). This is a lovely everyday lipstick. This moisturizing lipstick is packed with Mango seed butter, vitamins A, C and E. It’s highly pigmented and made in the US of A!
