Holiday Gift Guide for Him

Men, the hardest species to shop for… easily. Whether they’re your brother, dad, father-in-law, hubby, yadda yadda ya, these guys are there for you through thick and thin. You’re looking for the best gift they’ll actually want this Christmas and this guide is here to help!

My dad is particularly hard to shop for. He’s the worst but he has his staples. There are items he loves and always wants, and I know other dads will love/want them too. I drilled my brother this year for gift ideas. My sisters helped bug him everyday until he finally broke down. His answer was always “I don’t know. I’m so easy to shop for!”… incorrect, sir. We finally wore him down and he made a mini wish list on Nordstrom. We also took inventory of things he needed at his apartment and noted what he could use.

So, without further ado, let’s get to this Gift Guide!

One / Nordstrom Men’s Shop Hydro Cotton Terry Robe. This is on brother’s list. I’m sharing it because it has awesome reviews for just being a robe. It’s almost 5-stars with over 40 reviews. It’s a great gift for those who like to lounge around after a shower or need something to wear on cold winter mornings.

Two // Ray Ban RB2140 Original Wayfarer. These awesome sunglasses were originally introduced in 1952 and are considered the ‘classic’ Ray Ban look. Let’s be real though, they look really really cool and guys dig them. If my Dad didn’t need prescription sunglasses, I would buy these for him.

Three // Herschel Supply Co. Chapter Travel Kit. Another item that was on my brother’s list is a travel kit. It’s a genius gift for the guy who loves to travel or needs to travel for work. Though this is called a ‘kit’ it’s really just a bag for their basic needs. Great brand and well made.

Four // Nike’s ‘Windrunner’ Colorblock Jacket. This jacket comes in multiple color blocking options but the red and blue are a total throwback. Very lightweight and breathable. Great for the active guy or as an everyday wear.

Five // Bose Quietcomfort 35 Wireless Headphones Ii With Google Assistant. These are amazing. Truth? They’re on my list too. My brother introduced these to me while shopping. It’s a product with over 450 reviews and it’s actually noise canceling. I couldn’t hear a word he was saying and, as his older sister, that was the best moment ever. #AnnoyingLittleBrotherForever

Six // Tile Mate. Got a guy who’s always losing his keys? This will solve the problem every.gosh.damn.time.

Seven // The North Face Etip Salty Dog Knit Tech Gloves. It’s cold in the pacific northwest. There’s nothing worse than standing at the bus stop, freezing and unable to scroll through instagram. These glove solve that issue.

Eight // FreshJax Smoked Spices Gift Set. With a set of 5 spices, this gift will definitely be an unexpected but welcome gift. My Dad loves to grill. He will grill in the snow if he has to. These seasonings are great from veggies to meats. A great variety.

Nine // Allsaints Half Cardigan Stitch Beanie. You really can’t go wrong with a beanie. Most men don’t have nearly as much hair as women. Their ears must be cold all the time… a beanie will solve that problem. Men are so practical!

Ten // Hydro Flask 22-Liter Waterproof Cooler Backpack. I personally think this is the BEST gift for anyone. Not just men. This cooler pack is perfect for hiking, impromptu picnic, etc. It keeps items cool for 24hours, which is straight up crazy! Check out the promo vid here.

Eleven // Glenglassaugh Revival. A single malt scotch. My Dad’s drink of choice. Obviously you don’t need to go with this specific type of alcohol but if there’s one thing I’ve learned over that past few years, my Dad absolutely loves trying different types of scotch for Christmas. It becomes a family affair. Everyone has a sip or glass. He’s never unhappy receiving it. They come in all price ranges too!

Twelve // Oniva Collegiate Blanket Tote. Do you have a tailgater in the family or someone who tends to lounge outside the house? This outdoor blanket is amazing. Equipped with a pocket to keep loose items from getting lost and a tarp bottom to keep damp grass from seeping through, this blanket is legit. These designer thought of everything. It also travels well!
