The Suzzallo Library & Marc Fisher OTK Boot

Happy second day of October, everyone! Can you believe it? October already! I swear we were just in July. We’re at the University of Washington’s library today and it feels like Hogwarts. I’m absolutely in love with the vibe it gives off. Of course, we had to be very quiet!

It’s official, BTW, I’m completely gaga over burnt orange and rust this year. If you missed my rustic duster from last week, check that one out. It’s slowly taking over my closet.

This morning I woke up bright and early to swap out my Summer closet for my Fall/Winter wardrobe. It was hard to say goodbye to tanks and shorts but I was so excited to go through everything I didn’t wear and set it aside to sell online. Does anyone else do that? Sell their clothes online? I know a lot of people who use poshmark but I’m an old school kind of gal and I always use ebay.

Anyway, it was quick and painless. Last year I did a major clean out because I had been hoarding clothes but not actually wearing them. I was able to take inventory and set out a budget for replacements items for Fall this year.

Speaking of new pieces, I was fortunate enough to snag these beautiful over-the-knee boots while price matched on Nordstrom. I’ll let you know if they go on sale again. I honestly thought I would end up returning them but they’re quite beautiful. Though very long on a petite gal, like me. I have to fold them at the knee but I might be able to have them altered. I really don’t understand why brands don’t take height into consideration when it comes to knee highs. Such a shame.

Are you loving this dress as much as I am?! It’s light weight and perfect with a long cardigan. Another item I wish came in petite but alas, no. On the model, the dress comes about 3 inches above the knee. Not on this shorty! The length is more acceptable for work, at least.
