6 Summer Lipsticks

6 summer lipsticks
Round up time! Won’t lie, these are always my favorite posts to do. Some are repetitive but, let’s just say that they consistently stand out and they’re the true MVPs. One in particular I tend to wear all year round, you’ll know if you check out my IG.
My quality of lipstick has changed a lot over the past few years. There are a lot of higher end lipsticks and lip stains in this post, compared to past. It’s a weakness recently, especially the YSL matte lip stains. They stay on your lips all day. I’ve tested them. ALL DAY. They are high end and expensive but worth the one application.
This may be cheating too but one of these lipsticks was given to me as a sample and, it’s beautiful. It’s absolutely stunning and it had to go on the list because its one of those samples that stays in my handbag. It’s the perfect pop of summer color. It’ll blow your mind.
Let’s get right into it, shall we? Tarte Rainforest Sunkissed

First of all, this packaging is everything. Second, this lipstick is insanely creamy, moisturizing and pigmented. It honestly doesn’t make sense. It’s everything you want in a lipstick except you will need to reapply it after eating anything and it will definitely leave a lip print on your favorite mug. However, this specific color is my MVP. I wear this lovely warm nude all year round but mostly in the summer. It stays in my handbag and it gets moved to my clutch for events. It’s the best. You should color swatch if you ever have the chance.
YSL Nu Interdit
Another MVP on the lipstick front but this treasure is a lip stain and it lasts for hours. However, this color does not last as long on me and it’s possible it’s because the color is close to my original. It’s a beautiful pink nude that, again, is perfect all year round. However, this one is another go-to during the Spring and Summer. It’s so easy to throw on and go. I’ve never put this color on and removed it because it didn’t match an outfit.
I forgot to grab a shot of this. It’s next to the YSL lip stain in the photo above. This matte lip stick dries crazy fast, which means you learn to apply it accurately and just as fast before it dries. This light “muted coral” is beautiful and your perfect bright shade for summer. This is a great shade for a company picnic or gathering in the park. It doesn’t wash off fast and you probably won’t need to reapply after eating your first meal but probably your second. Word to the wise, these will dry out your lips if you try to wear them day-to-day. It’s best to treat your lips after each lip session.
Givenchy Framboise Velours
This color is not only the creme de la creme but it’s insanely creamy, bold and beautiful. The shade didn’t photograph as accurately as it should have but it’s a pigmented berry fuchsia that will bring you to your knees.  Its my go-to Summer night color. It’s terrific for evening parties and events. Think LBD, this color and a broadway play or date night. Similar to the Tarte lipsticks, this is one you’ll need to re-apply through out the night but it’s worth it.
YSL Carmin Statement
This color is everything with a white shirt. It’s the perfect bright red that has a small hint of coral to it. This lip stain actually stains your lips. I put this on at 7am and it was still on by 8pm. Absolutely insane to think this lip will stay on so long but it’s what you get when you pay the price. I got this color as my first YSL tube and it remains a show stopper. If you have green eyes, this is the color for you. They will pop with this shade.
Tarte Rainforest Surf's Up
Light, subtle, airy and creamy. That is how I would describe this color. It’s a recent purchase but is already getting traded off and on with Sunkissed. This is my go-to afternoon lip. There are mornings where I start the day with Sunkissed and end with cocktails and Surf’s Up. It’s a fresh and easy. It also goes with many of my outfits which is wonderful when you don’t need to think about it. It’s a lighter mauve shade with wonderful pigment. Highly suggest this brand and this color. Did I mention they’re vegan too?
That’s it dearys! Those are my picks for summer 2018. Can’t wait to find my Fall picks but I refuse to wish away summer. I love soaking up that sun. In fact, I’m going to get out and read a book in the park right now!
