Favorite Cruelty-Free Facial Products
Hello Friends!
I’m sure you’ve noticed that I didn’t follow a lot of my fellow bloggers. Many of my dear friends did a reflections post for 2017 and I decided not to do that because I am one of those kind of gals that likes to carry on. 2017 was a very hard year and I’ve been waiting, since August, for it to be over. Now that it’s done and over with, I’m ready to push forward to make sure 2018 gets a great start!
One of my new year resolutions is to focus on causes I’m passionate about. So this year, I plan to minimize my purchases towards brands that are not animal friendly. Now this is very hard. I would love to go 100% Cruelty-Free but it’s a bit hypocritical of me when I’m coo-coo for coco puffs over YSLs lip stains. However, the majority of the brands I do support are, in fact, Cruelty-Free. Every time I look up a brand and find out it’s on the list I do a little dance!
Two of the brands should come as no surprise, as I’ve mentioned them before. They’ve been featured in my Travel Gift Guide and Beauty Gift Guide from over the Holiday season. Care to guess? Feel free to compare my lists!
Let’s begin with my saving grace. Something I put on my face every single night before bed: moisturizer. I’m a hot shower junky. It’s the worst thing you could do for your skin. The way I reverse the damage is by using Embryolisse Laboratories’ Lait-Crème Concentré. For those that don’t speak french: Milk Cream Concentrate. Stuffed with shea butter, aloe vera and natural bees wax it’s the perfect product to help keep your skin silky and refreshed.
My next item is a eye shadow that I love. I’ve spoken about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance Palette in the past. A love of mine a literally the palette I use every single day. However, I recently bought a single shadow from Sephora and it was glorious. I highly recommend getting them. They have beautiful mattes and the shimmers blend so easily into them. If you buy 4 you get a free container (at Nordstrom) to snap them into. I’ll be doing this very soon.
Blush. My sister got me this color for christmas and it’s officially my favorite Tarte blush for winter. Perfect rosy cheeks: feisty. Unfortunately its all sold out on Sephora but ebay is always a great place to check out samples. They have it in a sample size here.
Last but certainly not least is the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. Listen – when I say this fixes everything I really mean it. Again, “hot shower junky” over here. I have suffered and suffered from chapped lips my whole life. I lose my chapstick like it’s my job. I took a $$$ risk to buy this lip mask. I have yet to regret it. Best of all, I don’t ever lose it because I put it on at night and put it back in my bathroom cupboard. I wake up to the softest and most relaxed UN-chapped lips. Best of all, smells sweet, tastes sweet because it’s natural and made with real agave but best of all: it’s cruelty-free.
So there you have it. My top four favorite bunny saving facial products for the new year. Please note that each of these items are all products I actually use on a daily basis. Products I love and take pride in and will continue to buy again and again because they don’t hurt our little fury friends.
