Merry & Bright
Merry Christmas, dear friends. I desperately wanted to post this weekend but didn’t bring my personal laptop with me. However, it was nice to spend the time away from social media for a few days and be with my family.
Traveling down to Portland is short. In the grand scheme of things, 3.5 hours of listening to Christmas carols is nothing compared to what others had to endure. It was easy to load up my car, had some quality time with my sister and (most importantly) didn’t hit a single moment of traffic.
I’m always happy when I get the opportunity to go home. I try my best to go see my oldest friends and my chosen nieces and nephews. This year they all got books from their Auntie Alli. It’s important to share adventures text, in my opinion. My job is to keep them always learning and growing and that’s what I plan to do every step of the way.
New few days are going to be busy as I try to get back into my routine and do my annual evaluation of the year. I have to work on my budget for the year and planning out work our schedules, putting aside time for creativity and trips. It’s my favorite time of the whole year. This past year was muddy and it’s go as according to plan as I would have liked it to but I wasn’t as off track as I could have been. Despite all of my personal obstacles, it could have been worse.
