Mondays are always tough for me, especially coming back from a 10 day trip abroad. If you’re following my personal instagram, you know I’ve been all over Spain and Marrakesh.
This Monday wasn’t as tough as previous days. A trick I discovered was coming back a day early. I flew home on a Saturday instead of a Sunday and forced myself to stay away til 9pm.
To my surprise, I woke up early on Monday. I made myself some tea, did my dishes from the night before and then took my time getting dressed and ready for work. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a morning person but work days are easier when I’ve gotten 8 hours of sleep. I’ve kept the routine for the past three days and I’m hoping I can make it stick during winter.
Since being back, my calendar is slowly filling up. Primarily with gym sessions and burger dates (my favorite). There are so many great events happening in the Seattle area during September. I can’t wait. September is one of my favorite months in this state because it’s still beautiful and warm until the end of the month. Often til the first week of October! I’ll be praying for a kind winter this year with minimal downpours and more cool nights.
On the calendar already is:
Women of Wonder 5k – Trying to do one a month and I’ve got to support my girl! Plus mimosas!
Outfit time, this top is from Nordstrom. It’s by LUSH, which I think is one of my favorite brands because they are such easy to wear items! My jeans (I know y’all are surprised) are my Joe’s Jeans. My favorite pair. They’re always purchased on sale at Nordstrom Rack. I will forever love these jeans. Heels are my nude Nine West.
No joke, haven’t worn pumps for 2 weeks! I destroyed my feet in these because I did too much. I walked all the way to the water front to sit and eat lunch by the water. I don’t regret but my feet are still healing and I’ll be taking it easy on the heels this week.
What are your plans for the end of summer??
