Bellevue Fashion Week 2016: Front Row Fashion Presented by Vogue
A Night Out. Free Bubbles. Fabulous Outfits. Models. Photographers. Fashion Bloggers. Fundraiser.
For the past 5 years, I’ve been living in the rainy city of Seattle. Every year, the Bellevue Collection has sponsored a fashion week and every year I’ve had my heart crushed by not being able to attend. This year, I literally stalked their Facebook event page waiting for the day they would open up their ticket vendor to allow us fashion obsessed individuals to purchase a seat around the their shining lit up stage of pieces presented by Vogue. Yes, oh yes, my loves – you read that right. VOGUE.
Not many of you personally know me and that’s alright. My life is easy going and there are not many things I am serious about but one thing that is a high ranking member of my short list is: Vogue.
Now that we’ve cleared up my obsession, let’s talk about fashion, the tickets and how I almost didn’t go again this year. The facts are these: The tickets are not cheap.
My biggest struggle was debating on whether to go alone and go VIP or splurge and buy two general admission tickets and invite a friend. It should come as no surprise that I, the social gemini, decided to invite my best friend in the city to go with me. It was the best decision I’ve made in a long time.
We went out for an amazing dinner, got to the show in time to have our photos taken, grab a few bubbly drinks and sit down to get find our names on our seats with swag bags! The show is a fundraiser and 100% of the proceeds (including the two tickets that were purchased) went to Seattle Children’s Cancer Research Center and Hospital. Knowing that we participated in helping a charity was certainly the topping on the cake for this event.
Let’s talk clothes. Holy Guac!
So many gorgeous trends that my closet is, surprisingly. prepped for. Loads of leather: red jackets, black vests, brown bomber jackets. The moto shoes were fabulous and my closet will certainly be looking to find a lovely pair of flat black boots with gold accent on them.
Evening wear was insanely 20s inspired with hints of boho chic long skirts. The hats were, naturally, my favorite part along with the never ending slouchy pants to keep you comfy in the Fall. Ohhh the Fall everything! Coats, sunnies, sweaters. All divine. It almost wasn’t enough time.
I was able to snag a few videos of some of the collections:
Honestly can’t wait for next year’s show. A, has already confirmed she’ll be attending again. It was definitely a night for the books and I hope you enjoyed the videos!
Kiss, Kiss, Mes Amies!
