Hello Hello!

That’s right! I’m so incredibly close until my trip finally arrives. I can’t believe it’s been over 8 months of waiting, planning and saving. I don’t even know where to start this post. Just thinking about going makes my heart leap.
As some of you know, from my previous post, that I’ve had the great opportunity to be able to surprise my mom with a trip to Europe this summer. We’ve been planning since the end of November. We buckled down a few nights and we finally decided that we wanted to explore two cities for two very different reasons.
London and Rome.
Again, Rome was a definite “yes” because my mother hasn’t been to Rome since she was around 14 year;s old. She went to boarding school there with one of my Aunts and she can’t wait to see how if feels to experience the city about 40 years later. I think she’s going to love Rome. I hope it’s everything she wants it to be.
I’m very excited about visiting London, especially as my first European city. It’s perfect since everyone already speaks English and I can kind of get the feel for another rainy city, just like Seattle. I actually have heard that London and Seattle have a lot of similarities and I can’t wait to see how and why.
As of right now we’ve got three full day towards planned. I’ll put the links up to the site for you.
First one is a flu day bus adventure! We are going to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, Lacock and Bath on a viator excursion. We even get a pub lunch in one of the oldest towns in all of London! I’m very excited for this day. Make sure to follow me around on Instagram for more pictures.
Second full day trip will be in Rome. We’re taking another viator excursion bus tour our to Florence which, I won’t lie, will be a very emotional day for me. I love art. I genuinely cannot wait to see Michelangelo’s David. I fear I will lose it in front of everyone. I’m not normally an emotional person but when it comes to art there are certain pieces that makes me so thankful for life. This may sound strange but all of the sweat and tears to work your whole life on paintings. It’s a blessing to be able to see many of them.
Our last tour is with the agency we booked our travel with, Gate 1 Travels. We’re going to do a half day at The Vatican to see Saint Peter’s Basilica. Another very emotional day, I think. However, I can’t wait to see it in person. In person, in the sun light all lit up in all it’s glory. I’m going to ball my eyes out, I just know it.

Above is what I’ve got planned as essentials. This is my preliminary packing list. I fully plan to photograph the whole thing. Don’t you worry!

AHHHH!!! 2.5 days, including today! EEEP!
